Last updated: June 2025

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using GovernSafe's cloud governance platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users, including enterprise customers, administrators, and end users.

Service Description

GovernSafe provides enterprise cloud governance, security monitoring, and compliance management services across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, and Azure platforms. Our services include but are not limited to: security assessments, compliance monitoring, automated governance, threat detection, and centralised management dashboards.

User Accounts & Responsibilities

GovernSafe uses enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication exclusively for enhanced security. Users do not maintain separate account credentials with GovernSafe - authentication is handled through your organisation's identity provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.). For enterprise service accounts requiring API access or automated integrations, organisations are responsible for managing these credentials securely and ensuring only authorised personnel have access. All users must be properly authorised by their organisation to access GovernSafe services.

Enterprise Service Accounts

For enterprise customers requiring API access, automated integrations, or service-to-service authentication, organisations may establish service accounts with GovernSafe. These service accounts and their credentials are the sole responsibility of the organisation. Organisations must implement proper credential management, rotation policies, and access controls for all service accounts. GovernSafe provides tools and guidance for secure service account management but does not assume responsibility for credential security.

Data Security & Privacy

We implement enterprise-grade security measures to protect your data, including exclusive use of SSO authentication to eliminate password-related security risks. Each plan operates on dedicated compute resources that are immediately destroyed after data processing, ensuring complete data isolation and security. Your data remains your property, and we act as a processor under applicable data protection laws. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or organisational data with third parties except as required for service delivery or legal compliance. All user authentication is handled through your organisation's trusted identity providers.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purposes, to transmit malicious code, or to interfere with the security or functionality of our platform. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using our services, including data protection and cybersecurity requirements. Penetration testing and security assessments are only permitted on domains that you have verified ownership of with the GovernSafe team and are available exclusively in Intermediate and Enterprise plans. Unauthorised testing on domains not under your control is strictly prohibited.

Access Termination & Data Retention

Access to GovernSafe services is automatically terminated when users are removed from your organisation's identity provider or when SSO permissions are revoked. For service accounts, organisations are responsible for revoking API keys and access tokens. GovernSafe does not retain any data after termination of services - all customer data is permanently deleted upon service termination. Each plan operates on dedicated compute resources that are immediately destroyed after data processing, ensuring complete data isolation and security.

Service Availability & Limitations

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services with reasonable notice. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the preceding 12 months.

Subscription & Billing

GovernSafe offers annual subscription plans only. Subscription fees are billed annually in advance. You may cancel your subscription at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of your current annual billing period. No refunds are provided for partial years, except as required by law.

We reserve the right to modify our pricing with 30 days' notice to existing customers. All customers with annual contracts will maintain their agreed pricing for the contract duration.

Intellectual Property

GovernSafe and all related trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos are the property of GovernSafe Pty Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our services in accordance with these terms.

You retain all rights to your data and content. By using our services, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.
